May 19, 2026 – Sultanate of Oman | As part of strengthening professional cooperation among professional associations in the Arab world, the Omani Association of Certified Public Accountants hosted Mr. Samir Sahar, Vice President of the Palestinian Association of Certified Public Accountants, in an official meeting with its Board of Directors. The invitation was extended by the Association’s President, Mr. Abu Al-Munthir Al-Jumaa, to present an overview of the Palestinian Association’s experience in implementing its Quality Management Program.
This participation followed a preparatory meeting held two days earlier at the headquarters of the Omani Association in Muscat, during which both sides discussed areas of cooperation and emphasized the importance of exchanging expertise and advancing professional collaboration to elevate the auditing profession and enhance institutional performance quality in both countries.
During the meeting, Mr. Samir Sahar presented the Association’s experience with the Quality Management Program launched in 2019, which stands as one of the most significant professional initiatives aimed at embedding a culture of quality and adherence to international standards and best practices across audit firms. The program is built on a comprehensive institutional framework overseen by a specialized technical committee that ensures the application of quality requirements in the professional environment. This is achieved through assessing compliance with international standards, analyzing quality reports, identifying gaps, and providing continuous development recommendations that foster ongoing improvement, strengthen professional commitment, and enhance the reliability of financial reporting.
