Membership Conditions


PACPA Membership and Registration Requirements

  • Hold a Palestinian nationality.
  • have full legal and civil capacity.
  • have good reputation and professional ethics.
  • Applicants must not have been convicted of crimes involving dishonor, breach of trust, or other criminal offenses, unless they have been legally rehabilitated.
  • hold a valid professional license in accordance with the Auditing Profession Practice Law applicable in Palestine.
  • Grant honorary membership by decision of the Board of Directors.
  • PACPA may grant associate membership to Arab and foreign professionals licensed to practice the profession in their respective countries, on a reciprocal basis for Palestinian professionals licensed in Palestine.
  • PACPA may accept associate members from accounting graduates seeking to obtain a professional practice license, provided they meet the following conditions:
  1.  Hold at least a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in one of the fields related to business and economics, particularly accounting.
  2.  Be currently employed or have prior experience in an audit office or audit firm.
  3. Obtain recommendation letters from two practicing professional members.
  • Commit to comply with PACPA’s bylaws, the decisions of its General Assembly and Board of Directors, and all regulations and instructions issued by PACPA.


Companies

  • Ordinary companies may be established among practicing auditors, provided that all the aforementioned conditions apply equally to all partners without exception. The partners must be members of the Association, have paid their subscriptions, and obtained a license to practice from the Association. The establishment of such a company must not contravene the applicable Law on the Practice of Auditing in Palestine or any subsequent legislation, and an auditor may not be a partner in more than one company.
  • All companies, branches of foreign companies, international auditing institutions, and local auditing offices operating in the State of Palestine are required to obtain approval and accreditation from the Association in accordance with instructions issued by the Association.
