Ramallah, June 2, 2026 — The Palestinian Association of Certified Public Accountants (PACPA) officially concluded the “Corrective Action for Audit Firms and Sole Practitioners in Palestine” project at a closing ceremony held at its Ramallah headquarters, bringing together board members, World Bank representatives, trainers, and participating practitioners from across the country.

Board Chairman Mohammad Akram Hassouna described the project as a milestone in advancing Palestine’s auditing profession, highlighting its role in bridging professional gaps and strengthening quality management practices in line with international standards.

World Bank representative Mohammad Jaber praised the partnership, noting that interviews with participating firms and sole practitioners showed measurable improvements in professional performance and quality systems.

The ceremony honored the World Bank team — Reham Hussein, Mohammad Jaber, and Raed Rajab — alongside the project’s trainers. Trainer Firas Abu Al-Teen noted that the hands-on coaching delivered throughout the project had a tangible impact on elevating audit quality across all participants.

Quality Management Specialist Suha Zalloum closed the event with a presentation of the project’s final report, covering key activities and outcomes achieved during implementation.
